Together Training helps young apprentice through redundancy
Together Training team remains committed to ensuring we continue to support all of our learners, employer partners and key stakeholders during this latest lockdown period.
As with previous lockdowns, Together Training continues to deliver apprenticeships through a range of online blended learning solutions in accordance with the latest public health guidance and new national restrictions.
Initial assessments, inductions, teaching, coaching and mentoring, functional skills delivery and progress reviews continue to be delivered virtually to maintain the safety of our teams, and we regularly review and adapt our provision to ensure we maintain learner motivation and wellbeing.
This could include:
-
Accelerating learning for apprentices on furlough or with time on their hands
-
Adjusting off-the-job training to bitesize tuition and coaching that’s better suited to busy job roles
-
Providing digital devices where learners are unable to access online resources
-
Providing enhanced learning modules for those feeling the impact of the added pressures of lockdown such as mental health awareness, time management and emotional intelligence.
HR Support apprentice Jessica was furloughed for five months after which she was made redundant. Jessica maintained her commitment to her programme by completing assignments and undertaking research to broaden her HR knowledge.
Together Training supported Jessica to transition her apprenticeship to a new employer and has recently passed her HR Level 3 Support CIPD qualification. Jessica is now working towards her end point assessment.
Her new employer has provided a complex work-based project that will enrich her learning, as well as enable her to evidence the Level 3 standards across a number of required areas. This type of HR experience is invaluable and rewarding.
Jessica said: “My Learning Coach Pankajni has consistently provided me with excellent support not just throughout the furlough period but for the duration of the course.”
"I always knew that I could pick up the phone or send her an email and she would get back to me as soon as possible to help me talk things through.”
"She helped to put my mind at ease when I needed it most and gave me the support I needed to complete my assignments on time and to a good standard. Her support was invaluable to me."
John McMahon, Managing Director of Together Training added: "An apprentice is at risk of redundancy please contact us for support. Together Training can assist apprentices to find alternative employment and continue with their apprenticeship training."
