Being on the Operations Manager Level 5 Apprenticeship has led Shareen to being a better, more confident manager.
It has honestly been the best course I have ever been on. I really enjoyed every part of it, and throughout the 24 months it never once felt like a chore. For me, the best thing is how it is broken down into manageable chunks. The assignments were based around my work and helped me to think more strategically which enhanced my working practices. The assignments were tricky to fit in with full-time work. Structure of this programme , I never felt like I was doing an assignment. You answer the modular questions and the learning platform pulls it together for you. At times, my workload was particularly heavy with large tenders yet I never fell far behind.
Understanding other types of leadership has helped me to identify how others in the team operate. I have learnt that I need to be better organised and improve my time management to help others in the team cope with incoming demand and pressures. There are many transferable skills which I hope to use throughout my career
Apprentice success. Distinction for the professional discussion.
Since embarking on this course, I have developed both personally and professionally in many ways. My confidence has grown in my role and I am more comfortable leading on HR projects and advising on HR issues. I have learned how to write business reports which has enabled me to influence leaders within my current organisation and implement positive change across the business. I have developed my resilience and ability to adopt to and cope with change
My Learning Coach , Pankajni has been extremely helpful during the last two years and I could not have gotten through this apprenticeship without her! She has been so supportive and has gone above and beyond .

Apprentice success in completing Level 6 Careers Diploma
As a Personal Adviser in the Services for Young People Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities Team in Children’s Services at Herts County Council, I began gaining experience in delivering careers work almost immediately. This was done through delivering guidance meetings and group works in our special schools. This qualification has allowed me to gain more knowledge and understand some of the theory behind what we do, meaning that the L6 was not only a benefit to me personally, but also to the schools I support and the organisation.
